When picking up the car, we were informed that we had to purchase an additional insurance for $14.99. We were also required to select a toll option for Florida (which we were already aware of from other providers). As a result, the daily price was approximately $35 higher than what was originally quoted online. Since we had no other choice, we accepted the additional charges and paid the fees.

However, when we saw the car, we were utterly disappointed and even shocked.
We had booked a Jeep Renegade or a similar model, but we were provided with a Dodge Journey, which appeared to be at least 10 years old.
The car was completely filthy inside: old drink cups, dirt, liquid stains on the doors and steering wheel, and the seats were covered in stains. So one can assume that the car was barely or not at all cleaned after its last use.
The exterior was equally bad, with scratches and dents on nearly every part of the vehicle. The front and rear bumpers were barely attached, and the panel gaps were uneven and misaligned. The car had over 120,000 kilometers on it and was not filled up with fuel, as stated in the booking.
Attached are a few photos that give an idea of the condition of the car. Unfortunately, it was even worse in reality.

We were disgusted by the condition of the car and had serious safety concerns, so we refused to accept it. No assistance was offered to help us find a replacement car, and after repeated inquiries, the staff attempted to upsell us a more expensive vehicle instead. We declined this and ultimately canceled the booking altogether. This left us scrambling to find another car rental on a Sunday afternoon, which, of course, resulted in additional costs.

The iRent employee we dealt with was extremely unmotivated and, unfortunately, very unfriendly.

I cannot recommend the iRent car rental service at all. If it were possible, I would give them -10 stars. Unfriendly staff, unprofessional service, and dirty, damaged cars.

had a very disappointing experience with this car rental agency. From the start, the service was poor. The rent representative arrived 45 minutes late for the vehicle pickup, which was incredibly inconvenient. When I finally got the car, I noticed the engine warning light was on, and the vehicle had excessive mileage. This made me question the car’s reliability and safety, especially since I had a long trip ahead.

Also when I bring back the car and the keys,nobody was there and of course nobody pick ip the phone when I tried to call.

To top it off, there was no real explanation or apology from the staff for the late arrival or the issues with the vehicle. Overall, I’m extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the condition of the car. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

Tuve una experiencia extremadamente negativa con United Rent A Car (iRent Car Rental) en Miami. Al llegar quedé más de dos horas esperando en el aeropuerto, ya que las indicaciones estaban mal.

A pesar de haber contratado un seguro a todo riesgo previamente, me obligaron a adquirir un seguro adicional en el mostrador y a dejar un depósito de $1,000.

El coche era muy viejo, un kia en mal estado, el primer día el coche se apagó en la autopista y tuve que esperar la grúa más de una hora, luego tuve que viajar en el camión de la grúa hasta el mecánico porque tampoco enviaron un taxi. Lo sustituyeron por otro que era nuevo pero de muy mala calidad, ni bluetooth tenia.

Al devolver el vehículo, seguí todas las instrucciones del personal, incluyendo la devolución con fotografías que demuestran la ausencia de daños. Sin embargo, la empresa falsificó mi firma en un documento generado posteriormente y retuvo todo el depósito alegando daños que no existían, sin pruebas verificables.

El Departamento de Agricultura y Servicios al Consumidor de Florida (FDACS) intervino, pero la empresa continuó justificando la retención con evidencias dudosas. Cuidado con esta empresa, ya que sus prácticas incluyen:

Falsificación de mi firma en los contratos, eso es lo que más me ha frustrado, han falsificado la firma en los contratos. Viéndome ahora en la necesidad de contratar un abogado para que denuncie la falsificación de documentos mercantiles.

Cobros adicionales inesperados, incluso con seguros "a todo riesgo". Coche defectuoso, retención arbitraria del depósito y falsificación de mi firma, esa ha sido la experiencia.

⚠️ Advertencia: No confíen en sus seguros ni en la cobertura ofrecida. Recomiendo a los consumidores buscar otras opciones de alquiler más seguras y evitar caer en esta experiencia tan poco ética. Al final el alquiler que me han ofrecido inicialmente por 750 dólares, me ha salido por más de 3000 entre depósito, seguro adicional, seguro inicial y la renta coche. Arriba de lo que me costará el abogado.
