This was my first time using this car rental company but it definitely won’t be the last. Checking out and dropping off was smooth and efficient. The customer service was also professional and friendly. The price I paid was a bargain when compared to most other car rental companies. I received the exact vehicle that I reserved. It was clean and ran like a charm. I didn’t experience any issues with extra hidden charges or fees that I’ve read about in previous reviews. Maybe it was luck of the draw or maybe I didn’t do anything that violated the rental agreement. I will say that my initial experience was very pleasant. I look forward to doing business with ACE car rental again!

Found me a car last minute, rate was amazing, car was clean and awesome to drive. Staff was incredible and even extended my drop off time which allowed a morning visit to the beach and 9 holes before returning. Really easy to get out and return car.

This was my first time renting a car through Ace. The initial experience was fine and I was in town for a funeral so didn’t need to drive it much the first day - but the next day as I was driving, I noticed the car was shaking and then I noticed the service date on the car was due in July of last year or at 31500 miles while the car was at almost 36k miles. Then I kept getting a seatbelt error - when I called, the person on the phone didn’t seem to be bothered. Nonchalantly, he told me to just bring it back and swap it but I was on my to the funeral by then. What’s sad is that they would put their customers in unsafe vehicles. When I dropped off the car, I made sure to share my experience and I received no response. Would not recommend and if you do, just make sure everything checks out before you drive off.

Recently rented with Ace for a weekend trip to Naples, FL. When we arrived we were told we were getting a free upgrade - unfortunately that’s where the good experience stopped.

Shortly after leaving the airport the check engine light in the vehicle came on. When I reached out to the location, they provided me an email to contact Marco, the manager at the location, for help remedying the issue. All I was asking for was a partial refund since we only felt comfortable driving the car to and from the airport, and it sat in our rental driveway for 2 days unused.

After returning the vehicle, and over a week had passed and my email still had not been returned, I started calling customer service. I finally got in touch with Thomas, a customer service rep, who said he would contact the manager and get back with me.

Thomas recently followed up letting me know that because the contract is closed there is nothing they can do except for offer a 10% discount in the future. He then informed me that Marco, the manager, was actually NEVER planning on returning my email as he deemed it a non-issue as the contract was already closed.

I provided them time stamped screenshots of me speaking with the location, then texting me the managers email, etc. etc. basically proving that I had been in contact with the store prior to my contract closing. Thomas said the best they can offer is a 10% discount on a future rental.

Fat chance buddy - Ace rental is a company full of scam artists. They will upsell you at every corner, they will take advantage of you when they can and they most certainly will ignore your requests for help.

All of that to say - save yourself the hassle and spend a little extra money to rent from Enterprise. It’s worth it.
