Worst experience ever. When I arrive there they didn't give me the car I booked because I had a debit car (they said in the web it was possible). They let me without vacations, I asked for cancellation and they gave me a false number, I couldn't do the cancellation online and I have been months asking them to give me back the money. The man in the reception was really evil.
PLEASE, DON'T BOOK A CAR WITH THIS COMPANY

Possibly the worst location for a car rental company on Earth, since the only access is from the adjoining highway, making it only accessible by car. This would be somewhat acceptable for other businesses, but why would you drive there if you're picking up a rental car?

If you come by foot from the south, there's a busy highway with a median in the middle making it impossible to cross. And if you manage to get to the north side of the highway, there is still no access from nearby residential roads. You literally have to wait for pauses in traffic and run along the almost shoulderless highway to get there.

At least the staff was friendly and the building was clean, but it's in the most ridiculous location I've ever seen!

This franchise of Hertz is located on the outgoing way to the west from the center of Sassari to Alghero, as part of a Peugeot dealer. I got a good deal on the internet but this is the downside: It is rather difficult to reach without using a taxi. This is the only alternative: We got the PN bus from the bus station at the Via Eugenio Tavolara in Sassari and got out at the bus stop of Via Predda Nieda str. 33. Then a 5 min walk down the slope at the Conforama furniture store. Then some precarious meters left along the highway. That's the same way I got back to the center again after returning the car. It is the most economical way.
At first I did not get the car of my choice. I wanted a Fiat 500L, but I was offered a Alfa Romeo Giulietta, which was supposed to be an upgrade. Being with a family and wanting to go sighseeing from the car, the higher Fiat was way better. So I was offered the car another client before me had just returned. The car was not cleaned, but it was more to my liking and almost new. The car was an economical Diesel equipped with automatic gear. It was a pleasure to drive in the predominantly mountainous roads. The formalities were handled fast and correctly. I would use Hertz again with the same deal.

The guy was very helpfull and organizes also Taxi for you. Attentation, if you use google navigation by car from west. It does not work. Use the street from south.
